Dr. Chawathey is a GP with over nine years of experience in weight loss injectables and oral medications. A former studio doctor on Embarrassing Bodies, he has helped numerous patients achieve diabetes remission through weight loss and lifestyle modifications. His expertise includes diabetes management, weight loss strategies, joint injections, and minor surgery. He also frequently delivers educational talks for GPs, pharmacists and nurses.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Chawathey is a respected medical educator and researcher, with over 75 publications in various fields of medicine. He is a tutor at the University of Birmingham Medical School, a postgraduate trainer, and an editor for a leading medical journal. As a General Medical Council (GMC) examiner, he plays a key role in assessing UK doctors. Recognized for his contributions to healthcare, he was a finalist at the UK GP Healthcare Leader Awards 2018 and has been conferred the Fellowship of the Royal College of GPs (FRCGP).
