How does Ibuprofen 400mg work? Ibuprofen works by inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase (COX), which reduces the production of prostaglandins, chemicals responsible for pain and inflammation.

How should I take Ibuprofen 400mg tablets? Adults and children over 12: Take 1 tablet up to 3 times a day with water, preferably with or after food. Do not take more than 3 tablets in 24 hours.

Are there any side effects? Common side effects may include:

• Diarrhea, gas, bloating, constipation
• Indigestion
• Increased risk of heart attack or stroke
