Sudafed Decongestant Liquid – 100ml

Sudafed Decongestant Liquid is designed to relieve nasal congestion caused by colds, flu, and allergies like hay fever. It also helps with catarrh, a build-up of mucus in the nose, chest, or throat. The active ingredient, pseudoephedrine hydrochloride, works by reducing swelling in the nasal passages to ease breathing.

What causes a blocked nose or catarrh? Blocked noses and catarrh are often caused by infections such as colds, flu, or allergies. Germs enter the body through the nose, mouth, or eyes, leading to congestion and mucus build-up.

Who is this liquid suitable for? Suitable for adults and children over 6. Not for use by individuals with high blood pressure, heart disease, diabetes, overactive thyroid, glaucoma, severe kidney problems, or those taking MAOIs or beta-blockers. Consult a doctor if on other medications.

Can someone who is pregnant or breastfeeding use this medicine? Consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Do not use: If allergic to ingredients, or have severe conditions listed above.

Possible side effects: Allergic reactions, hallucinations, irregular heartbeat, high blood pressure, restlessness, sleep problems, anxiety, and headaches. Stop use and consult a doctor if side effects occur. Report side effects via the MHRA Yellow Card Scheme.

Store below 30°C, out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date. Read the leaflet carefully before use.

Children 6-12 years: One 5ml spoonful every 4-6 hours, up to 4 times a day.

Adults and children over 12: Two 5ml spoonfuls (10ml) every 4-6 hours, up to 4 times a day.

Do not use for more than 5 days without a doctor's approval.

Active Ingredient: Pseudoephedrine hydrochloride 30 mg per 5 ml.

Other Ingredients: Citric acid monohydrate, sucrose, glycerol, methyl hydroxybenzoate (E218), sodium benzoate (E211), Ponceau 4R (E124), raspberry flavor, and water.
