Piriton tablets contain 4mg of chlorphenamine maleate, an antihistamine that helps alleviate symptoms of hay fever, other allergies, and the itchy rash caused by chickenpox. They work quickly to prevent symptoms such as sneezing, coughing, runny or blocked nose, and itchy or watery eyes.

What is hay fever? Hay fever is an allergy to pollen from grass, trees, and plants, causing symptoms like sneezing, runny nose, and itchy eyes. It is common between March and September when pollen levels are high.

How do Piriton tablets help manage allergies? Chlorphenamine maleate blocks histamine, preventing allergic reactions to substances like pollen, pet dander, and dust.

Can I drive after taking Piriton? Piriton may cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how it affects you.

Can I take Piriton with other medications? Consult your doctor before using Piriton with other medications, especially if taking MAOIs, other antihistamines, phenytoin, anxiety medicines, or sleep aids.

Can I drink alcohol while taking Piriton? Avoid alcohol as it can increase the likelihood of side effects.

Can I take Piriton if I’m pregnant or breastfeeding? Consult your doctor before taking Piriton if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
