Benylin Dry Cough 7.5mg/5ml Syrup – 150ml

Benylin Dry Cough 7.5mg/5ml Syrup is designed to relieve dry, persistent coughs caused by colds or flu. The active ingredient, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, acts as a cough suppressant, reducing the urge to cough.

How does Benylin Dry Cough 7.5mg/5ml Syrup work?
The active ingredient, dextromethorphan hydrobromide, suppresses the cough reflex, providing relief from dry coughs.

Who is this product suitable for?

• This syrup is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over.
• It is not recommended for people with lung disease or those who are allergic to its ingredients.

Can this medicine be used when pregnant or breastfeeding?
Consult your doctor or pharmacist before using this product if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Common side effects:

• Skin rashes
• Swelling of the face, lips, throat, or tongue
• Itching
• Dizziness
• Drowsiness
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Diarrhoea
• Shallow breath
• Difficulty sleeping
• Stomach ache

Serious side effects: Seek immediate medical attention for severe allergic reactions, including swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties, and/or loss of consciousness.

Do not use if:

• Allergic to any ingredients
• Taking MAOIs or antidepressants

Store below 25°C in a cool, dry place out of sight and reach of children. Do not use after the expiry date.

Take 2 x 5ml spoonfuls every 4-6 hours, with no more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

Each 5 ml contains:

• Dextromethorphan Hydrobromide: 7.5 mg

Other ingredients:
Liquid glucose, sucrose, ethanol (6 vol %), among others (refer to the leaflet).
