Do I need a new prescription for Wegovy?

Yes. Mounjaro and Wegovy are different medications, so you will need a fresh prescription after consultation with one of our clinicians.

Will I lose the same amount of weight on Wegovy as I did on Mounjaro?

Will I regain weight during the washout period?

Do I need to start Wegovy at a low dose even if I was on a high Mounjaro dose?

No, it is not necessary to start wegovy at the lowest dose if switching over. Our clinicians will be able to assist you in selecting the correct dosage of wegovy if you are switching over from mounjaro

How does Wegovy’s dosing work?

You will start on 0.25mg weekly for 4 weeks, then gradually increase every 4 weeks until reaching the maximum recommended dose of 2.4mg (if suitable).

Are the side effects of Wegovy and Mounjaro the same?

They are similar—nausea, bloating, constipation, and diarrhoea are the most common. Some people find one easier to tolerate than the other.

What if I experienced bad side effects on Mounjaro—can I still try Wegovy?

Can I go back to Mounjaro after trying Wegovy?
