Agreement

Do you understand that this medication must only be used in combination with a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity? It is advised to be on a mildly hypocaloric diet that contains approximately 30% of calories from fat. It is recommended that the diet is rich in fruit and vegetables.

Do you understand that Orlistat can reduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives? If you are taking any oral contraceptives, it is advised to use additional barrier methods whilst taking Orlistat.

Do you understand that Orlistat can lower levels of some vitamins absorbed by your body? You should take a multivitamin containing Vitamins A, D, E and K once a day whilst on this treatment. The multivitamin should be taken at 2 hours before or after taking Orlistat, such as at bed time, to ensure the multivitamins are absorbed by the body.
