Benylin 4 Flu Tablets are designed to relieve cold and flu symptoms, containing paracetamol and diphenhydramine. Paracetamol helps alleviate aches, pains, and fever, while diphenhydramine, an antihistamine, helps relieve coughing, sneezing, and a runny nose.

What is Benylin 4 Flu used for? Benylin 4 Flu is used to relieve symptoms of colds and flu, such as aches, pains, fever, coughing, sneezing, and a runny nose.

How does Benylin 4 Flu work? It contains paracetamol, which blocks pain signals in the brain, and diphenhydramine, an antihistamine that reduces histamine, relieving allergy-like symptoms.

Who can take Benylin 4 Flu? It's suitable for adults and children aged 10 and over. Not suitable for children under 10 years old without medical advice.

Can I take Benylin 4 Flu if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding? Consult your doctor before using this product if you are pregnant, trying to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.

Can I drive after taking Benylin 4 Flu? This product may cause drowsiness. Do not drive or operate machinery until you are sure you can do so safely.

Can I take this product with other medications? Consult your doctor or our pharmacist if you are taking any other medications, including those for mood disorders, anxiety, pain relief, heart conditions, or blood thinners.

Do not take if you have: Allergies to ingredients, heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, an overactive thyroid gland, pheochromocytoma, glaucoma, or severe kidney problems.

Possible side effects: Difficulty sleeping, nervousness, dizziness, dry mouth, thickened mucus, nausea, blurred vision, unusual weakness.

Serious side effects: Severe allergic reactions, such as swelling of the face and throat, skin rash, breathing difficulties, and/or loss of consciousness.

Other warnings: Avoid alcohol while taking this medication.

This product is a medicine. Consult your doctor or our pharmacist if you have underlying medical conditions or are taking other medications. Store below 25°C, out of reach of children, and do not use after the expiry date. Read the included leaflet carefully before use. For more information, visit NHS.

Children aged 10-15 years: Take 1 tablet up to 4 times per day.

Adults and children over 16 years: Take 2 tablets up to 4 times per day.

Leave at least 4 hours between doses.

Do not exceed the recommended dosage and do not use for more than 5 days without consulting a doctor.

Ingredients

Active Ingredients: 500 mg Paracetamol, 12.5 mg Diphenhydramine hydrochloride.

Other Ingredients: Microcrystalline cellulose, pregelatinised maize starch, povidone, crospovidone, macrogol 6000, croscarmellose sodium, stearic acid, magnesium stearate, hypromellose, titanium dioxide (E171), quinoline yellow (E104), sunset yellow (E110), and talc.

  • stimulants or appetite suppressants and drugs used to treat congestion and asthma (sympathomimetic drugs)
