What causes a chesty cough? A chesty cough is caused by mucus buildup in the airways due to infections like cold or flu, or allergies such as hay fever.

What is the difference between Benylin Chesty Coughs Non-Drowsy and Original? The Non-Drowsy version contains guaifenesin and levomenthol, whereas the Original contains diphenhydramine and levomenthol. Non-Drowsy does not require pharmacist approval.

Who is this medicine suitable for? It is suitable for adults and children aged 12 and over. Do not use if allergic to any ingredients, have an intolerance to some sugars, or have kidney problems without consulting a doctor.
